Well, you found me! And as far as knowing about me, there is not a lot to tell.

I was born in upstate New York and grew up in a Christian home with an older brother and twin sister. I married at twenty three, moved west to a small town and had a daughter at twenty six.

I am now 63 (as of April 2025), serving in the band at my church, playing bass, lead electric guitar or acoustic rhythm guitar. I am also an artist and love drawing photo-realistic pencil drawings that illustrate scripture.
My greatest passion is Jesus Christ, to love him, know him, obey him and proclaim him more and be more like him. He is the driving force in my life and the heartbeat of all that I do.

But I surely haven't always been like this. From my teenage years, my biggest struggle was with food. Not so much that I started gainging weight at 13, though I did, but as I came into young adulthood, I realized that I idolized food. Simply put, I loved food more than I loved God.

I spent decades fighting food, trying not to idolize it and also trying to lose weight, all to no avail. It wasn't until God took my attention off of food and what I looked like and put it on Himself that I actually started getting somewhere.

God quickly convinced me that I had to love him more than anything. In fact, he commands it. So by His grace and mercy, I went all in with Him back in 2007, and I committed to never again eat in violation of my conscience. I have abided by that committment all of these years and a few years ago, wrote Food & Holiness, a book that illustrates what it is to idolize food and what it takes to love God more than anything.

If you feel prompted, get the book. I don't doubt that God can use it in your life to transform your relationship with food.

I pray for you because I pray for all who come to this site. My prayer is that you will come to accept Jesus as your savior so that you will experience the true love, peace and satisfaction that we all long for.

I welcome your emails and would love to hear from you, to know how you are doing and to pray specifically for you.
